Rachel Adelson, M.A.Rachel Adelson, M.A., communicates about health and science through editing, writing and public speaking/program facilitation. Her specializations are brain science and behavior and aging and health. She is also author of Staying Power: Age-Proof Your Home for Comfort, Safety and Style (Sage Tree Publishing, www.stayingpowerbook.com).

Rachel built her communications business after 10 years with IBM as an editor, speechwriter and program manager. Notable long-term clients have included IBM, AT&T, the American Psychological Association, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Discovery Communications and the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care, as well as elder-care programs in Ontario. Her writing has merited National Health Information Awards and been reprinted in college textbooks and psychology reference works.

Rachel has covered everything from brain health and neurological disorders to behavioural economics, distracted driving and human-computer interaction.

Rachel Adelson, M.A.Rachel has a master’s in journalism, a bachelor’s in psychology (Phi Beta Kappa), and graduate certificates in aging and public health. She first learned the power of simple, direct language on the streets of New York City and is most proud of her diploma with honor from the Bronx High School of Science.
